Suzanne Woodward directs communications for a national non-profit.

With over a decade of leadership experience, Suzanne has a proven track record of delivering record-breaking PR results, expanding organizational visibility, and driving the highest fiscal and program growth in her organization’s history. Suzanne is passionate about engagement: listening and building relationships with key audiences to better learn, serve, and build community. In Suzanne’s roles, she has the pulse of engaging families and their care teams online to support their needs and create resources that are delivered in a way that is impactful and valuable to them.
In her role as Director of Communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Suzanne led the communications and digital strategies for a variety of programs and research. Within her UNC Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health (UNC CMIH) work, Suzanne co-developed and managed resources, campaigns, and project strategy for the 4th Trimester Project, BELIEVE Birth Interprofessional Education, Maternal Health Learning and Innovation Center, the Show Your Love Initiative (BeforeAndBeyond.org), and NC-specific quality care and research studies, such as ACURE4Moms, Safe Sleep NC, Incarcerated Women’s Health, and more. Suzanne currently serves as the Fractional Vice President of Communications at the Family Heart Foundation.
Suzanne lives outside Chapel Hill, NC with her husband and two children. Suzanne loves hiking and boating with her family. She is an avid runner and Boston Qualified during her 1st Marathon in February 2024 (follow her running journey at #Boston129, April 2025)! Suzanne is an amateur photographer and artist (dabbling in creation of all kinds). She is originally from New Jersey; her heart stays in NYC. Suzanne lived in NYC after graduating from Utah State University. She loves to travel (especially to a beach) and adventure with her family – experiencing new cultures, food, excursions near and far.
